Curtis Hart passed on some information about Margays from a herpetology message board, where a subscriber called Crotalus reports seeing them quite often (1 or 2 during a 5 night trip). Curtis followed up with him to get the following information "I've seen them most commonly in Colima and Michoacan on roads through intact tropical deciduous forest during the summer months. They are generally just doing something on the shoulder of the highway. Coati, javelin, and opossum are common. Coyotes are around, but not all that common. Tamandua and jaguarundi are present, but rare. Locals say there are both Pumas and Jaguars, but I've only seen a puma once. "
