Yangtze Finless Porpoises in China and how we encountered amazing animals in Nanjing

I am a French biologist and I have cultivated a very strong interest for wildlife and mammals in particular since my early childhood (1,001 mammal species observed until May 2023 and more than 1,750 bird species). I have been lucky to travel the world to see animals in their natural ecosystems but also in captive settings. I have been interested indeed in the way zoological institutions have evolved and are currently developing (more than 1,800 zoological institutions visited and studied across the globe).
