Way Kambas, 2024 Trip Report

My first trip report on this site chronicles my fabulous 4-day trip to Way Kambas National Park, Sumatra, in early November, 2024. I saw 30 mammal species, including Sun Bear, 7 primates and 9 squirrels!

    Hi Bennett, I was intrigued with your trip report to Way Kambas NP last year as I plan on traveling throughout Sumatra for over a month in February and March of this year. I would love to discuss your trip in more detail via email or WhatsApp if you would mind?

    Unfortunately Hari is no longer a guide at Way Kambas. I am booking a trip through Ecolodges Indonesia and they said he no longer works there. Have you or anyone experienced any other guides that were similar to Hari? I am reluctant to book a tour with them (it’s quite expensive) if none of their other guides are not nearly as good as Hari.
