Trip Report – India Northwest and Eastern India – Small Cats and other lesser mammals. 

This is a trip report for private mammal-watching tour organized for Dr. Martin Daniel and his wife Natascha Daniel to north-western and eastern India, focusing on six small cats, 
one big cat and some of the lesser mammals that are possible in this area. 
The trip was led by Saurabh Sawant who has lead tours for us in the past (Vana Safaris) and it went down extremely well with 5 of the 6 small cats and the lone big cat showing well. 
A no of interesting lesser mammals apart from small cats including all the canids that are present in these habitats were sighted. A notable feature was the 
large no of birds including the extremely rare and endangered Great Indian Bustard showed well. 

We are now organising this tour again in February and then in March 2025.
