The Weekly Recap

Hello and welcome back to the weekly recap!

The past week has been a pretty quiet one again, with only two trip reports, both from Cat Expeditions. The first of these is from their trip to Zambia where they saw many of the African classics (including 9 different Leopard sightings!) as well as some more esoteric species like White-tailed Mongoose and Cape Porcupine.

Their second report is of a Californian Bobcat tour last December, and a very successful one with over twenty seen. The report is full of stunning Bobcat photos so definitely check it out!

Charles Francis ran several bat workshops last year in Sabah along with 1StopBorneo Wildlife. They managed to catch and photograph 38 species including Spotted-winged Fruit Bat, Kingston’s Roundleaf Bat and Common Thick-thumbed Bat.

Speaking of 1StopBorneo Wildlife, they have added two new locations to their repertoire: Beluran and Tawau INIKEA, so check them out if this is a country you’d like to visit.

Regina Ribeiro along with my dad (Jon Hall) will be leading a trailblazing (he made me say that) trip to northeast Brazil in May of next year, in search of some very rare species like Northern Maned Sloth, Bahian Hairy Dwarf Porcupine, Silvery Marmoset and Blond and Yellow-breasted Capuchins. Check out this post if you’re interested in joining!

Finally, someone is wondering if spotlighting along Pipeline Road, Panama is possible without a guide, so comment on this post if you have any experience.
