The Weekly Recap
Hello and welcome back to the weekly recap!
The first trip report of the week was Mark Hows’ trip to Madagascar. The report is full of gorgeous photos, including some of an Aye-aye having a snack, a tiny little Goodman’s Mouse Lemur and a Giant Jumping Rat.
This report from Singapore, also by Mark Hows, is just as pretty to look at with some Long Tailed Macaque grooming, the very strange looking Colugo and a Lesser Dog-faced Fruit Bat.
Next up is my dad’s trip to Minnesota to visit his favourite mammals (Charles Foley and family) and some other, less interesting, species such as American Marten, White-tailed Deer and a Musk Rat. It also includes some more general information on which mammals can be seen there during a better winter.
John Wright’s trip report from Western Australia features Quokkas, Australian Sea Lions and Numbats!! (a word I only recently discovered my dad didn’t just invent to insult me as a child – see proof at the end of this post…).
Last but not least is Heng Yirui’s trip to Sichuan and Qinghai with AbsolutePanda during which he saw Red Pandas, Tibetan Macaques and some great big cat species like Chinese Mountain Cat, Pallas Cats, Eurasian Lynx and Snow Leopards!
