The Weekly Recap

Hello and welcome back to the weekly recap!

The first trip report of the week is from Hobart, Tasmania by Michael Sebastian back in July, a short trip during which he saw Southern Brown Bandicoot, Rufous-bellied Pademelon and Bennett’s Wallaby.

Next is a Harrier Tours trip around Uganda posted by Ignacio Yúfera. It was a prolific trip with species such as White Rhinoceros, adorable newborn Uganda Kob, De Brazza’s Monkeys and Pousargue’s Mongoose which even I remember the excitement of first seeing, and the report is full of beautiful photos!

Next we have Jan Ebr’s trip report from Thailand with Northern Treeshrews, Himalayan Striped Squirrel and countless bats such as Black-bearded Tomb Bats, Bumblebee Bat and Stoliczka’s Trident Bat.

Finally is this trip report from Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay incudes some cool species such as Nine-banded Armadillo, Southern Tamandua and Tapirs.

If you’d like a fun trip to join, Wild Chaco Expeditions are offering tours aiming for up close encounters with South America’s most enigmatic mammals – although, as Charles Foley would know, sometimes an encounter can be too close… Especially when it comes to Long-beaked Echidnas. And as always, check out the join a trip page for more inspiration!
