The Weekly Recap

Hello and welcome back to the weekly recap!

This week has been a little quieter than usual, with only 3 trip reports.

The first two are by Alex Sowers from some NPs in the US: Yellowstone with 27 species (Pacific Marten, Gray Wolf, Grizzly Bear) and California’s Sequoia and Kings Canyon NPs (Humboldt’s Flying Squirrel, Western Mastiff Bat).

The other trip report is this Cheesemans’ Ecology Safari to Sulawesi and Komodo back in July: Black-crested Macaques, Sulawesi Dwarf Squirrel, Island Flying Fox and more great species!

A Mole-rat special trip to Romania is running next April with Sakertours for anyone who’s interested: Lesser Blind Mole-rat, Hungarian Blind Mole-rat as well as a few others are the targets – hopefully some of which can actually see.

There’s also a Congo river cruise happening this December, with a chance for Bonobos, Bouvier’s Red Colobus and Forest Elephants.

As usual, a few people are looking for some mammal related advice, and I suppose this website is second best to a psychiatrist. This post is asking about the best places to mammalwatch in early October and this one is asking about tips for Central Greece – specifically where to see cetaceans around Pelion.

Thanks for reading:)
