    Hi Mark. In regards to (1) your title “Re-Discovery of the Grey Dwarf Hamster”, (2) your second paragraph stating “This is a very rare species in Europe and in the last 70 years the only records are deceased animals or from owl pellets” and (3) statement that your trapped animal “was only the second live animal seen in the last 70 years”. These comments are all misleading considering that iNaturalist shows many records in Ukraine (second largest country in Europe according to Wikipedia) and most of these 36 records show animals that are alive. Perhaps you should have added “in Romania” to your title?

    I should have clarified that it was European Union rather than geographical Europe
