Pika spp. from Himalayas

Hello,
This is a photo of a sweet little Pika, taken while trekking in the Langtang Valley, Nepal, but I actually don’t know which species this one is. Maybe there is someone here that knows how to identify it. It was taken at around 4.000m where these little animals live.

Pikas are tricky, to be sure. I am no expert, but I spent a little time looking into it, and it looks as though the options you have for the Langtang Valley are either Large-eared Pika (Ochotona macrotis) or Himalayan Pika (Ochotona roylii). I’m inclined to believe yours in O. macrotis based on the color, head shape, etc. but I am not certain at all. Just a best guess.

It is a relatively bright rufous colour and the ears are pale so I would say this is Ochotona roylii. Species descriptions of Large-eared Pika state that it has grey-brown to black ears.
