New Mongabay Article: Mammalwatching & Conservation

Charles Foley and I published an opinion piece on Mongabay this week that some of you might find interesting I hope that makes the case for mammalwatching as a conservation tool.

With rare mammal tourism, observing means conserving (commentary)

Basically mammalwatching is fun, addictive, incredibly cool (*yes … I am anxiously awaiting my daughter’s comments on the ‘cool’ part) AND it is helping to save species and habitat as well. And there is a lot of potential to do more.

So start a life list and save the planet.

Many thanks to Jeremy Hance for helping us frame and pitch the piece and for Erik Hoffner at Mongabay for his editing.
