Looking for Images of Side-striped Jackals from Mt Elgon
Dear All,
For a scientific paper on the side-striped jackals of northeastern Africa, we are looking for images of the side-striped jackal (Lupulella adusta) from Mt Elgon, which is purported to be similar to the ones in Ethiopia, but no photographic evidence has been found so far. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers,
Coke

We have some photographs of a very strange Side-striped Jackal which I posted to the Mammals facebook page. Send us an email and we can pass on the photos on reservations@laikipia-wilderness.com

I’d try posting this query to the facebook group “Mammals of East Africa” – a few people I know from there have been to Mt. Elgon and saw Side-striped Jackals, but I’m not sure if they have pics. But that would definitely be the audience most likely to have them.
On iNat these 2 observations are also interesting – those E African highlands Side-striped are so distinctive!
