Book Review: A Wildlife Guide to Georgia (the country not the US state)
Georgia is one of my favourite countries in Europe: spectacular scenery, exciting wildlife and – let’s be honest – outrageously good food. Brecht De Meulenaer’s new Wildlife Guide to Georgia (Pelagic Publishing), a compact (100 page) travel guide will be very useful if you are considering a trip there.
This is not a mammal field guide. It mentions mammals of course along with birds, reptiles, insects and plants. Rather, this is a travel guide to the different areas of Georgia you might want to visit with detailed information on when and how to visit along with some of the flora and fauna you might find in each place. It has maps, suggested routes, tips and photos. In short, when coupled with the trip reports on mammalwatching.com, you ought to have plenty of information to plan a great holiday.
More details are attached.
You can order it here.
