RFI: Guide for a day trip from KL to Kuala Selangor for Silvered Leaf Langurs
Hello.
We’ll be in KL for a few days in July, and would like to go for a day trip to Kuala Selangor to see Silvered Leaf Langurs. Any recommendation for a guide (with a car) to take use there? Bonus points for any other wildlife and/or interesting birding. Thank you.

You don’t need a guide at all. If you don’t want a to rent a car then when you are in KL just organize a car with driver to take you to the main entrance of the reserve where they hang out and from there you can walk up to the lighthouse where they also hang out. I have been there a few times and overnighted as well. For birds (and otters) just walk the loop in the reserve. Also good for night walks (mind the kraits though).

Hi,
We used the services of Weng Chun in March 2024 on a 9 day mainly bird watching trip. He is extremely reliable and knowledgeable and we saw the Silver Leaf Langurs when with him. His website is https://malaysianbirder.blogspot.com/ and email is nature2pixel@gmail.com.
Ask him what other birds you can see in the area.
If he is already booked he has a network of contacts and I’d be surprised if he wouldn’t put you in touch with someone who can help you.
We can thoroughly recommend him.
Cheers,
Steve
