Hello! Glad you were encouraged by my report!
Honestly, although temperatures were naturally quite cool, it was still notably warmer in Hobart than it was in Melbourne (which tells you a lot about Melbourne weather, really…)
Winter can be a good time to go in some ways. Fewer crowds, the weather wasn’t that bad in my experience, and it gets darker earlier so you don’t have to wait so late until you go spotlighting. And of course, the low temperatures enhance the effectiveness of the thermal imager.

Thanks for this. I will be in TAS next July and am a bit worried about the winter weather. But the fact you did get my targets for Waterworks, etc, I am encouraged. Cheers!
