Request help to identify a bat ( Etosha – Namibia)

Hi,

In NOV 2015, we visited Etosha and found this bat during the day. We tried to identify the bat using our field guide (African mammals – Jonathan Kingdon) but were unsuccessful. Thanks in advance for your help 🙂

When I first saw the picture I thought this bat had a very long nose-leaf which totally confused me but now I realise that the ‘noseleaf’ is in fact the other ear. I think this is Macronycteris vitattus or the Stripe Leaf-nosed Bat. I saw them in caves in Namibia though they were not as pale as this animal. If this was a very big bat (for an insect eating bat – much bigger than any bat in Belgium) then I think it should be that species.
