Iberian Ibex in Gredos, August 2022

Hi!

This is my first trip report. I have recently started to pick up interest in mammal watching, but wanted to post this short report from last year, as I think it can be helpful for people looking for Iberian Ibexes close to Madrid.

Hi! My name is Lander. I am from the Basque Country, but currently live in London. I have liked animals since I was a kid, and have focused mostly in birdwatching these past 10 years. I always considered mammals “too hard” and the lack of resources and information also discouraged me from following this path. However, I recently came across this forum, and seeing the abundance of resources available, I have decided to give mammals another chance. I plan on starting easy, but who knows, maybe in some years I too will be trapping small rodents.
