Mammal watching stopover in Austria

Easy: the small reserve of Suśle Wzgórza, created for the protection of Spotted Souslik in farmland of SE Poland.

There is a larger colony near Popowka, but I don’t know the exact location.

Just to point out that European Souslik is NOT the only one ground squirrel in Europe. In Ukraine, Russia, Belarus and a place in Poland lives even the Spotted (or Speckled) Souslik Spermophilus suslicus. The outskirts of Odessa are a good place for them.
Even the Alpine Marmot is a ground squirrel. All three species are endemic of Europe.
