    Very interesting, thanks for sharing!

Regarding the medium-sized cat, it definitely looks like it has some pampas cat characteristics. And different subspecies of this cat all look so different form each other, it’s hard to tell whether it’s pure. It may look like a cross-breed? Maybe pampas cat X house cat? But maybe just pure pampas cat.

What does the other Pampas cats in the area looks like?

The head is very much domestic cat but the body not.

I’d say housecat, sorry. Behaves like one, too.

I’ve seen pampas cat twice in Emas and it looked very different (a video of one of the sightings is here at min 2:20 https://youtu.be/nmoDAEOSvyU).

Even in other subspecies, I would also expect a pampas cat to have a large, pink nose and prominent stripes on the front legs. Here is a link to a picture from a recent publication that deals with polymorphism and range distribution in pampas cats : https://twitter.com/zooljlinnsoc/status/1360755882754256896

I agree with Stefanie’s comments about the pink nose and the form there should be braccatus which should have prominent markings on the legs. There is an illustration in Castello’s Felids (page 122) which superficially resembles it but it is a different form to the one expected to occur there. I agree with Vladimir that it’s probably a feral cat.
