Rio Las Piedras is very good for wildlife in general, but serious mammal watchers probably also want to include the Manu region for Monk Saki and Emperor Tamarin (and perhaps even the rare Gould´s Monkey).
SE Peru is probably the richest when it comes to wildlife in the whole of the Amazon – and its very accessible.
The lodge we use in Piedras has Giant River Otters and Black Spider Monkeys only 50 meters from the Lodge. Amazing!
