New Trip Report – Sri Lanka
I have just uploaded a report of my trip a week ago to Sigiriya in Sri Lanka. We saw what I thought was an impressive 30+ species in 72 hours, 11 of which were lifers for me including Golden Palm Civet, Grey Slender Loris and Rusty-spotted Cat. This was mainly thanks to the excellent guiding from Udi at Bird and Wildlife Team, rather than anything I did.

Great to see so many reports of excellent mammal sightings in Sri Lanka. I am planning my fifth trip to SL and have previously focused on birds but would like to see some nocturnal mammals. I will be going to Sigiriya and respect your guides request for secrecy about his sites but could you tell me if it is necessary to go to the great expense of staying at Jetwing’s hotel to get access to these sites. I am travelling alone with my guide and will not be with a group. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks
