Information for Mammals in the Dolomites, Italy
Got a trip booked to Milan to see my daughter and was thinking of having several days taking in the Dolomites region, so I would be most grateful of recommendations for areas to visit to see mammals and accommodation. Thank you

I was there in March 1993, hiked a bit on Fanes Plateau. It was great for small mammals near the edges of melting snowfields, but I didn’t see anything larger than a mountain hare. There was also a good walking trail into Austria in Giovo area, but I’m checking in Google Maps and apparently it’s a ski resort there now.

This may be useful: https://wikitravel.org/en/Dolomites. It lists mammals in the area with links to travel, accommodation etc. https://www.moviment.it/en/dolomites-unesco-world-heritage-site-alta-badia.php gives another list of mammals
I hope this helps
