Have you ever wondered what “more falcate” meant when reading a description of a cetacean? I sure have. Found a site with a detailed explanation (though directed to Blackfish)

Almost a post graduate course but not too hard to figure out, really.

I’ve always found ratios of body lengths useful field marks, like bill/head length to tell Lesser and Greater Yellow legs apart.
