Kenya Rodent ID Help
Hi all. I am finishing up the mammal IDs from our recent trip to Kenya and there are a couple that I have no clue about. Frankly, there seems to be plenty of possibilities so it may not be possible to ID these.
The solo rat eating was at Porini Amboseli just hanging around the camp. Porini Amboseli is located in the Selenkay Conservancy just North of Amboseli National Park.
The other two rodent photos appear to be of the same species. I saw plenty of them at the Porini Lion camp which is located in the Olare Motorogi Conservancy North of the Masai Mara. They were quite social and there were at least 6 to 10 always running around. I managed to only get a couple clear pictures when they decided to venture onto a path.
Thanks in advance for any ID help.
Alan

One of the Grass Rats (Arvicanthis sp)- possibly nairobae, niloticus or neumanni. Impossible to be sure as most overlap in range.
