Bobcat at Trout Brook Valley Preserve in CT
While looking for some rare birds this am at the Trout Brook Valley Preserve in Easton, Connecticut, I had a large male Bobcat come out from a grassy area in the orchard by the blueberry grove, stop for about ten seconds and then go into the forest on the other side of the fence. I’ve seen a few of them before, but never this close or well in the daytime. It was awesome. Also saw the usual critters in the adjacent woods like Eastern Gray Squirrel and Eastern Chipmunk. On the way home I also had Woodchuck along the entrance road and one along the Merritt Parkway.
