Golden Slender Mongoose…
Bob Berghaier just wrote me with this picture and said
“The pic was taken in the western Okavango Delta on island that is a private concession area for Wilderness Safari’s Tubu Tree Lodge. I am sure that this is a slender mongoose, however this animal appears to be a golden color. I have my own pictures of dark brown colored slender mongoose taken in other areas of Botswana.
I am wondering if any of other Mammal Watching.com have seen or heard this color type?”
