RFI – Mammals of the Hindu Kush
If anyone has been to Chitral Gol National Park or that area of Pakistan I would be interested to hear from them. I should have a weekend there next month. Markhors will be easy to see (in theory) and there is a remote chance of a Snow Leopard. But is there anything else I ought to be looking for?
thanks
Jon

I was there a few years ago, in October. It was an early winter, so there was snow almost everywhere. I saw two very common mammals in two days (a silver vole in a rocky area and a gray hamster at a field edge), but the place is very scenic and probably has a lot of stuff when snow-free.
